    Scholarships to assign

MHMK's You Create Media-competition came to a close on June 25, 2013. MHMK thanks all participants for joining the competition and for uploading a variety of intriguing, creative and social conscious projects. A Jury selected by MHMK's president Prof. Jürgen Faust will award the scholarships on July 15, 2013. All participants will be informed accordingly and receive all important information via email.

MHMK invited young creatives to develop ideas and projects inspired by "your media scenario" and to win one of the six scholarships, for its English bachelor and master programmes for 2013/2014 in media, communications and design in Munich, Hamburg or Berlin.

The MHMK, with 2,000 students and around 80 permanent professorships in the cities of Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin, makes it Germany's leading private university for media and communication.

For me, the future of the media scenario is based more and more on what people can accomplish when they come together to do something – just ANYTHING – and how they have fun doing it.

The Collective Doing community will use a website to publish weekly suggestions for a new topic for the whole world to develop. The final video result with a “best of” collection would be published by the end of the week. The themes and the best videos will be voted by the members.

The main goal of the Collective Doing Project is to create cultural activities in and outside the Internet and to create a spontaneous video database from different themes of people\’s lives around the world, meaning every week, mini documentaries would be produced. By the end of a year, a feature-film with the best themes would be produced.

The Collective Doing is also the perfect platform for promoting art interventions, innovations, to share stories and talents and see different realities!

Not only art, but also social causes, could benefit from the community. The week\’s theme could be about animals rights, prejudice, the cultural and economic differences around the world or even about one specific organization that needs help. Anything is possible!!

The Collective Doing is going to be a platform with guidelines to put an end in the dispersed flow of information that exists in the network, creating a channel that will help generate creativity.
