MHMK's You Create Media-competition came to a close on June 25, 2013. MHMK thanks all participants for joining the competition and for uploading a variety of intriguing, creative and social conscious projects. A Jury selected by MHMK's president Prof. Jürgen Faust will award the scholarships on July 15, 2013. All participants will be informed accordingly and receive all important information via email.

MHMK invited young creatives to develop ideas and projects inspired by "your media scenario" and to win one of the six scholarships, for its English bachelor and master programmes for 2013/2014 in media, communications and design in Munich, Hamburg or Berlin.

The MHMK, with 2,000 students and around 80 permanent professorships in the cities of Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin, makes it Germany's leading private university for media and communication.

Project presentation: Bridge - The Way You Get There.pdf

I see that people are having ideas all the time. A research called “Mind Storming”, by Robert Abergel, shows that a common person has two to three ideas per year that can make her a millionaire. However, few people at least think about their ideas.

Thinking about it and observing my scenario I can see that it’s not too difficult to have an idea. The real hardness it’s bring it to life, make it happen. Most of times there are burocracy, money issues or, even, contact problems to build something out of the mind.

So my idea it’s to create a collaborative website, applying the concept of crowdfunding. It’s called Bridge and it’s proposed to be a way to help people to achieve their objectives and change the world by their ideas.

People would first create an account, login and then register their ideas. They could choose if they wanted to put their ideas online or not. Those who choose to publish would be exposed online and people could vote in the ones they liked most, like on facebook, share (facebook, linkedin, google+, twitter), comment, indicate or adopt.

Bridge would have a site version for mobile. It would have a facebook page and some campaigns on tv.

I agree that most people now and then have brilliant ideas. The problem is that they don’t have knowledge or means to transform these abstract ideas into concrete actions.

Another thing is that people usually overvalue their ideas, even knowing that won’t ever be able to make them real, what hampers the process of mind storming, unless they are somehow stimulated to share their ideas.

Lastly, people like to be praised when they present their ideas. In my opinion, even if an idea seems to be ridiculous or weird, to the person who presented the idea certainly seems to be brilliant. Therefore, they should always be commended for their contributions.

    Great idea! Congrats!
